Free BOM Check for machine builders

Drop your Excel or CSV bill of materials. In seconds you see missing part numbers, duplicate parts, lines without a supplier or price, and what the machine costs. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded.

What the check looks at

  • Part numbers that are missing or repeated, the usual cause of double ordering.
  • Lines with no supplier, so nobody knows where to buy them.
  • Lines with no price or quantity, which hide the real cost of the machine.
  • The most expensive lines and the suppliers that carry most of the spend.

BOM Check questions

Is my BOM uploaded anywhere?

No. The check runs entirely in your browser. The file is read on your computer and nothing is sent to AssembleFlow or to anyone else.

Which file types work?

Excel (.xlsx, .xlsm, .xls) and CSV files up to 20 MB. Column names can be anything: P/N, Part Number, Qty, Vendor, Unit Cost and similar names are recognised, and unlabelled columns are guessed from their values.

What does the order-readiness score mean?

It is the share of lines that have a part number, description, quantity, supplier and price, reduced a little for duplicate part numbers. A line needs all five before you can raise a purchase order for it.

Can I import the same file into AssembleFlow?

Yes. The import wizard in AssembleFlow uses the same column matching, so the file maps itself and you only confirm it. Or send us the file and we set up your first machine for free.
